At Goldberg Noone, giving back has taken many forms: delivering meals, supporting children, volunteering professional time, and joining community events. We value the relationships built through that work and the people who make it possible.
Showing Up for the Place We Call Home
A strong community depends on people willing to contribute. For our attorneys and staff, that has meant lending a hand with everyday needs as well as supporting organizations through board service, sponsorships, and pro bono assistance.
Our involvement has connected us with neighbors throughout Lee, Charlotte, Collier, and Hendry counties. The examples below highlight some of the programs and relationships that have shaped our firm’s community history.
Programs That Have Been Part of Our Story
Meals on Wheels
Members of our staff have volunteered with Community Cooperative’s Meals on Wheels program, helping deliver meals to local residents. Those deliveries offer a direct way to help neighbors while supporting the organization’s work in Southwest Florida.
Voices for Kids
Scot Goldberg has served on the board of Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida. This service has been part of our support for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Guardian ad Litem Service
Scot’s community service has included work as a Guardian ad Litem and Attorney ad Litem in Lee County, with volunteer participation in dependency court proceedings focused on children’s needs.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center
Scot has served on the center’s board and provided pro bono assistance with corporate matters. This involvement has supported an organization focused on education, advocacy, and community participation.
Student Mock Trial and Moot Court
Our firm has sponsored the Lee County Bar Association’s Mock Trial Competition. Scot and Logan Goldberg have also volunteered as coordinators for local high school moot court programs.
Bobby Holloway Memorial Fishing Tournament
Our involvement with this Pine Island event has special meaning to the firm. In 2019, Scot Goldberg received the tournament’s Tony McKenna 110% Award in recognition of his community involvement.
Sharing Our Time and Professional Experience
Community support has also included legal and civic service. Scot Goldberg’s past involvement includes pro bono counsel for the Lee County NAACP and Quality Life Center, legal service for the Coalition for Justice, and an appointment as a Special Master addressing animal control matters through the Lee County Attorney’s Office.
He has also served on Cape Coral’s Zoning and Planning Advisory Committee and received honorary deputy recognition from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. These roles are part of the firm’s history of contributing beyond individual client matters.
Meeting Our Neighbors Outside the Office
Our team has sponsored or participated in events with ABATE of Florida’s local motorcycle community and at Southwest Florida Pride celebrations in Naples and Fort Myers. The firm’s community history also includes Smoke on the Water BBQ & Music Festival and the Saint Patrick’s Day Downtown Block Party.
These gatherings give us a chance to meet people, support the work of local organizers, and spend time in the community we call home.
